The natural hot springs and breathtaking views of snow-capped mountains were magical. Enjoying the Northern Lights from our balcony was a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

The staff were incredibly helpful and

went above and beyond to make our stay memorable, from providing local tips to accommodating special requests. However, the room was a bit cramped for our liking, which took away from an otherwise pleasant experience.

Family with children Excellent for family trips

The pool was a bit too cold, but the hot tub was great fun for the kids. We had a breakfast that blew us away with fresh waffles and a nice selection of meats and cheeses.

It wasn't exactly a bargain but worth it considering the overall experience.

We had a fantastic time enjoying the hot tub and swimming in the warm river just behind the hotel. The breakfast was super tasty and fresh. The outdoor sauna was such a relaxing bonus. It would’ve been nice to have a bit more space for our luggage, but overall, this place was a gem! 🌟

This place suits me perfectly! With great wi-fi, a relaxing sauna, and friendly staff, I always feel at home. On my first stay, the staff helped me return forgotten sim cards. I highly recommend it for a city trip!

great location but minor cleanliness issues

The location was ideal for our family's first stop in Iceland. We loved exploring the geothermal hills, enjoying the breathtaking river views, and soaking in the hot tubs after a day of hiking. The breakfast selection was excellent and added to our overall relaxing experience.

Beautifully decorated common areas exude a relaxing vibe, perfect after a day out. Scenic hot tubs offer amazing views of the river, especially glowing with the Northern Lights overhead—definitely a highlight of the trip.

We experienced some disappointments during our stay. Sharing balconies meant a lack of privacy, and we encountered a bothersome sulfur smell from the nearby hot springs, even inside our room. Additionally, limited wardrobe space left us feeling cramped, making it difficult to settle in comfortably.

My honest journey to loving (or hating) this

The friendly staff made my stay memorable! soaking in the hot pools while enjoying the stunning views was rejuvenating.

Yet the inconsistent heating in the room made for chilly nights! Access to some amenities was frustratingly unclear.

My recent stay at Frost And Fire was quite enjoyable. The hotel is beautifully situated in a serene geothermal area, allowing quick access to numerous hiking trails. The hot spring powered jacuzzi and sauna were immaculate and provided a perfect way to unwind after a day of work. The Varma Restaurant on-site offered generous portions of delicious Icelandic cuisine, especially the lamb, which was a culinary highlight of my stay.

There were some challenges with hot water supply during my visit.
